Let’s eat in

Better than the gym: Three-mile Cannes beach run, Mediterranean view stair climb, & a 40-suitcase lift.
I really wish “Leavin’ on a Jet Plane” had a rockin’ remix.
I think I’ll go to France tomorrow.
Easter on the 12th. Pretty cool.

On Friday I got some life-changing new glasses, so I thought I’d start my Easter Sunday by taking this FaceBook profile photo to celebrate them.

As soon as we got up, P and I went for a long brisk (29 degrees and windy!) walk in our neighborhood; amazingly, this was my first time ever on this path only a half mile from my house. (That’s P in her hot walking outfit.)

Easter baskets happen not only for the little kids in the family but also for the twenty-somethings.

No sooner had my step-granddaughter M arrived than she wanted to start laying out her stuff on the guest bed. 60 seconds after this photo was taken, the bed was covered with toys. Neatly and geometrically.

K bounced his son E, liberated from his Easter tie. (E, that is.)

P wanted to keep dinner simple and casual, and it ended up being a great meal with good conversation.

The SquamDogs were groomed on Wednesday (but of course that’s obvious), and they both came home with these Easter bandanas.

I heartily enjoyed “hiding” eggs for M on and around the new deck. Pretty soon, though, she’ll be having to use a GPS to find them.

I saw K snap a pic of this juxtaposition of his truck with his sister’s and decided to do the same.
At a certain point of the late afternoon the house suddenly felt like an internet cafe… there were two more computers being used in the same room.

Just before we took Nana home, T2 showed her the route she’ll be driving to Alaska 9 days hence.

Finally, P snapped this last pic as we drove her mom home. All in all, a really happy Easter.

Ça a été une bonne idée. (French teacher Easter pun.)
An Idol performance worth watching (save for a pitchy final note):
